Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program
The comprehensive inpatient pulmonary rehabilitation
program at North Valley Hospital is designed to help
patients with breathing disorders to improve their quality
of life. Breathing disorders may include conditions
directly related to chronic lung problems (such as emphysema
or lung cancer) but it may also include conditions related
to heart disease, accidents, cystic fibrosis or AIDS.
Our pulmonary rehabilitation program
is designed to increase pulmonary function through specialized
treatment and education to assist patients in returning
to productive, independent lifestyles. This program,
along with our respiratory therapy program, is a full
service department operating 24 hours per day, 7 days
per week, 365 days per year.
Ventilator Weaning Program At North Valley Hospital, our goal is to wean patients from ventilators so they can regain their ability to breath and function independently. When this is not possible, we train patients and their families to use portable equipment so they can return home or to a lower level of care.
